Get Started With Flowdock

Flowdock is a team collaboration app for desktop, mobile, and web. Work on things that matter, be transparent, and solve problems across tools, teams, and timezones.

Get started with Flowdock includes the following:

CA Flowdock is organized into chat rooms called flows. Each flow has a chat and a team inbox. A flow belongs to one organization.

There are two types of flows:

  • Invite-only: Hidden from other users
  • Open: Visible to everyone in the organization

Users can only be removed from invite-only flows.

When you sign up to create a new CA Flowdock account for your company, a new organization is created automatically. You will be the owner of the organization which contains a single flow called Main. You can transfer ownership and change the default flow name at any time. You can create new organizations at any time. You can either create it from your Account page or when creating a new flow.

CA Flowdock users can belong to as many organizations as they wish. When you are a member of an organization, you can join all of the organization’s flows that are not invite-only.

By default, you can also reach all the members of the organizations that you are in. Organization administrators can change user visibility so that users only see the people that they share a flow with.
